What is the scope of the Iraqi Journal for Applied Science (IJAS)?

The Iraqi Journal for Applied Science (IJAS) is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed open-access journal published by the University of Diyala, Iraq.

The journal publishes high-quality original research and review articles in:

  • Applied Physics and Nanotechnology

  • Chemistry

  • Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence

  • Information Technology and Cybersecurity

  • Applied Mathematics and Statistics

  • Biotechnology and Biological Sciences

  • Interdisciplinary Applied Sciences

What is the frequency of publication?

IJAS is published quarterly with four issues per year:

  • March

  • June

  • September

  • December

Special issues may occasionally be published following Editorial Board approval.

How can I submit a manuscript?

Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).

The submission process includes:

  1. Start Submission

  3. Enter Metadata

  4. Confirm Details

  5. Final Submission

A confirmation email will be sent after successful submission.

What types of manuscripts are accepted?

IJAS accepts:

All submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

What is the journal’s review process?

IJAS follows a double-anonymous peer-review process.

Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

The review process includes:

  • Editorial Screening

  • Peer Review

  • Author Revision (if required)

  • Final Editorial Decision

  • Production and Publication

Is there a publication fee?

Yes.

The Article Processing Charge (APC) is:

125 USD per accepted manuscript

  • No submission fees are charged.

  • APC is payable only after acceptance.

  • Editorial decisions are independent of APC payment.

Is the journal open access?

Yes.

All articles are published under a fully open-access model and are freely accessible worldwide.

IJAS publishes content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

What is the plagiarism policy?

All submissions undergo plagiarism screening.

The acceptable similarity index is generally below 20%, excluding references and standard academic phrases.

Manuscripts with excessive similarity may be returned for revision or rejected.

Are articles assigned DOIs?

Yes.

All published articles receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref.

  • Structured scientific format
