Submission Process

The Iraqi Journal for Applied Science (IJAS) follows a structured and transparent online submission process through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Authors are required to carefully follow the steps below to ensure successful submission of their manuscripts.

Step 1: Registration

Authors must register on the journal’s website and create an account using a valid email address. Already registered users can log in directly.

Step 2: New Submission

After logging in, authors should click on “New Submission” and begin the submission process.

Step 3: Submission Checklist

Authors must confirm that their manuscript meets all submission requirements, including:

  • The manuscript follows the journal template

  • The work is original and not under review elsewhere

  • All authors’ information is correctly provided

  • Ethical standards have been met

Step 4: Upload Files

Authors must upload the required files:

  • Main manuscript (without author names for double-blind review)

  • Cover Letter

  • Supplementary files (if applicable)

Step 5: Enter Metadata

Authors must enter complete metadata, including:

  • Title of the manuscript

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Author details (name, affiliation, email, ORCID)

Step 6: Confirmation

After completing all steps, authors must confirm the submission. A confirmation email will be sent.

Step 7: Editorial Review

The editorial office will conduct an initial screening before sending the manuscript for peer review.

Important Notes

  • Incomplete submissions may be returned to the authors

  • Authors should regularly check their email and submission status

  • All communication will be conducted through the journal system
