The Iraqi Journal for Applied Science (IJAS) is committed to ensuring transparency and integrity in the publication process. All participants in the publishing process—including authors, reviewers, and editors—must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Definition
A conflict of interest occurs when an individual’s personal, financial, or professional relationships may influence—or appear to influence—their objectivity in the research or publication process.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission, including:

Personal relationships that may influence the research
Authors should include a Conflict of Interest statement in their manuscript.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers must:

Maintain objectivity and confidentiality
Editor Responsibilities
Editors must:

Avoid handling manuscripts where conflicts exist

Ensure unbiased and fair editorial decisions

All disclosed conflicts of interest will be evaluated by the editorial board and, if necessary, included in the published article.
Policy Enforcement
Failure to disclose a conflict of interest may result in:

IJAS follows the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics to ensure transparency and fairness in scholarly publishing.
All authors are required to submit a conflict of interest declaration during submission.
